Beacons of Hope Relay for Life Team raises funds and wine glasses for cancer programs
The Beacons of Hope is a local Relay for Life team with members from Isle of Wight and Surry Counties. The group recently raised their glasses, as well as approximately $5,000, during a wine tasting and silent auction held at the Gatling Pointe Yacht Club in Smithfield. Attendees enjoyed heavy hors d'oeuvres, which were then paired with a wide range of white and red wines from all over the world. Proceeds raised during the event will benefit local services and programs of the American Cancer Society.
